The Role of Organization Culture in Establishing Environment for Motivating Workers in Saudi Arabia
ABSTRACT In Saudi Arabia, construction industry is one of the major industry sectors that use a large number of foreigner's workforce. The construction industry is improving by their member which reflects a positive feedback on construction productivity. This research attempt to reach the working environment that can produce motivated and more productive worker within the construction organizations and an effort to investigate and analyze how much organization's culture needed work environment to motivate construction workers. In order to make construction more organized, stable and compatible, the improvement on construction workforce and management has a significant role in establishing better environment. The research methodology contains two parts: First inductive method which related to literature review based and other sources, second analytical method as pilot study through questionnaires and meeting experts in construction field that both parts is concentrating in studying construction organization culture and motivation improvement for workers in Saudi Arabia which found in the results that foreigner's workforce are not motivated and require major attention to their human needs. The study will cover foreigner's workforce that are working in small & medium construction organization in Saudi Arabia's eastern province. It will define the work environment that can produce motivated and more productive workers. The study is examining an analyze human needs inside construction industry to represent motivational guideline that can be used to develop the operation inside organizations. Guideline identifying the rewards with workforce value and understanding the human needs and job context to design the jobs based on motivation techniques.
