Abstract

The experimental study of exotic nuclei was started by IsoTanihata at Berkeley in the middle of the 1980s. He introduced new method to get a beam of exotic nuclei. His method was called the secondary beam method. Light neutron-rich exotic nuclei at the drip line are characterized by weak binding energies that lead to "exotic" features as halos. Halo nuclei exhibit a strong cluster structure and anomalously large matter radii. The matter density of the halo nuclei has a long tail due to their weak binding energy where the separation energy of the halo neutrons is very low, so they can be easily broken. These nuclei are so short lived that cannot be used as targets. The present thesis deals with the study of 6He elastic scattering from different targets in the framework of the double folding (DF) optical model (OM). Several systems are analyzed, namely,..
