Abstract
The famous Cornell potential is constituted by two terms, the first one is known as the Coulomb part (atomic physics applications), the second one is linear (biased semiconductors hétérostructure applications). The Coulomb potential-plus-linear, (potential of Cornell), stated by the sum of the two first terms, describe the bound states of quarks and antiquarks (particle physics applications). The numerical solutions of the time independent Schrödinger equation have been achieved by means the Airy function approach. The eigenenergies and eigen-functions have been calculated and an appropriate approached energy quantization rule has been proposed...
