Abstract
This study aimed to produce the bio-fuel "ethanol" and single-cell protein (SCP) from the date molasses by local yeast strains as well as the optimization of the cultural conditions to maximize their productivity. To achieve the goals of the study, different yeast strains were isolated from natural sources and were screened for their potential to either ferment the molasses into ethanol or produce biomass as single-cell protein.
